Edinburgh University are set to embark a second journey at the top table of Scottish futsal.
Last season was an impressive one as they edged a fierce battle to win the SFL-Edinburgh play-offs to earn promotion back to the Super League.
They also enjoyed a run to the Scottish Cup quarter-finals only to be knocked out by their capital counterparts on that occasion.

What they said
“Last season was a good year for us,” Edinburgh University’s Johnny Chaplain said.
“A lot of our first-team left at the start of last season so we had to find new players but we recruited well and had a good year.
“We won the Scottish tier one of the university leagues and got promoted to the Super League so it was a good year for us.

“We’re looking to continue that this season, we just want to put in some good performances, win a few games and see where that takes us.
“Obviously it’s a step up but we’re looking forward to the challenge.
“The club is looking to take things up a level so we’re excited for the Super League.”
The first match of the season will bring an all-Edinburgh clash against Futsal Escocia.
“We had a bit of rivalry from last year with Escocia,” Chaplain added.
“They are a really good team so we’re looking forward to playing them in our first game.
“And PYF Saltires are a really top team so it will be interesting to see how we fare against them.
“It’s good to see a few Edinburgh teams, the standard in SFL-Edinburgh last season was really strong.”
