Back-to-Back Scottish Futsal Super League Champions Secure Another Historic Title
PYF Saltires have been crowned Scottish Futsal Super League champions for the second consecutive season after defeating Futsal Club 33 across a dramatic two-legged Playoff Final.
Having established a commanding 5-1 advantage in the first leg, PYF returned to Dundee International Sports Complex knowing they were one step away from retaining their crown. The second leg delivered a thrilling spectacle, with PYF eventually emerging 7-6 winners on the night to complete an unbeaten title-winning campaign.
The triumph secures another national title for the Perth-based club and confirms their place in the 2026/27 UEFA Futsal Champions League, where they will once again represent Scotland on the European stage.

A Playoff Final Worthy of Champions
The Playoff Final showcased the very best of Scottish futsal.
PYF laid the foundations for success with a dominant 5-1 victory in the first leg, putting themselves in a strong position heading into the return fixture.
The second leg proved far more dramatic. Despite leading for large periods, PYF were pushed all the way by a determined FC33 side who refused to let the title slip away quietly. In a match packed with goals, momentum swings and late drama, PYF eventually secured a 7-6 victory to seal the championship.
Goals in the second leg came from Gav Ritchie (4), Kieran Forber (2) and Stevie Laurie.
Together, the two matches provided a fitting conclusion to another memorable Scottish Futsal Super League season.

An Unbeaten Championship Campaign
While the Playoff Final provided the drama, the foundations of this title were built over the course of an outstanding league campaign.
PYF Saltires completed the season unbeaten, consistently demonstrating why they have become one of the leading forces in Scottish futsal. Their combination of experience, youth development and attacking quality allowed them to remain at the top throughout the campaign and ultimately retain their crown.
The achievement means PYF have now successfully defended the Scottish title and reinforced their status as one of the benchmark clubs in Scottish futsal.
Scottish futsal continues to grow in quality and competitiveness, but once again PYF set the standard.

Gav Ritchie Leads the Way
A key figure in the title-winning season was league top scorer Gav Ritchie.
In his debut Scottish Super League campaign, Ritchie produced extraordinary numbers, finishing with 46 goals in just 13 league appearances. His tally came within two goals of the all-time single-season Super League record of 48 goals, set by former PYF Saltires player Ahmed Aloulou.
The season also marked several major milestones for Ritchie, including his first UEFA Futsal Champions League appearance and goal, as well as his first goal for the Scotland national team during the recent FIFA Futsal World Cup qualifiers.
His four-goal performance in the second leg of the Playoff Final perfectly summed up a remarkable debut campaign.

A Defining Moment for Kieran Forber
Every championship season produces defining moments, and for PYF Saltires one of those moments belonged to Kieran Forber.
The academy graduate scored twice in the decisive second leg, including the winning goal with just 22 seconds remaining on the clock.
Having progressed through the PYF development pathway, Forber has continued to establish himself as an important member of the first-team squad. The season has already included a UEFA Futsal Champions League debut and now concludes with a Scottish championship medal and one of the most important goals of the season.
His success also extends beyond the first team, having guided youth side Ballerz to a March Madness title as coach earlier in the campaign.

A Decade of Success for Scott Ballingall
The 2025/26 title also carried special significance for head coach Scott Ballingall.
The championship represents his tenth national league title, an extraordinary achievement spanning more than a decade of Scottish futsal success.
Having first won the league as a young player emerging through the PYF Academy in 2010, Ballingall has become one of the most influential figures in Scottish futsal. This latest success was particularly notable as it marked his first league title achieved solely in a coaching role after being sidelined by injury.
His leadership, experience and understanding of the club's culture have been central to PYF's continued success.
From academy player to coach and champion, Ballingall's journey mirrors the growth of both PYF Saltires and Scottish futsal itself.

Eyes Turn Towards Europe
With the Scottish title secured, attention now turns towards Europe.
PYF Saltires have once again earned the right to represent Scotland in the UEFA Futsal Champions League and will discover their opponents when the draw takes place on 8 July.
European competition provides an opportunity not only for the club but also for Scottish futsal as a whole to continue raising standards and gaining valuable experience on the continental stage.
For now, however, there is time to celebrate another exceptional achievement.
An unbeaten league campaign.
A second consecutive Scottish title.
Qualification for another UEFA Futsal Champions League campaign.
And another chapter in the growing legacy of PYF Saltires.
2025/26 Scottish Futsal Super League Champions.
