TJ Slovak Lads are determined to make strides this season after enduring a tough campaign last time out.


New faces and new hope sum up their feelings ahead of the big kick-off on Sunday.


Rebuilding and returning after the Covid hiatus proved difficult last season with only one win enjoyed across the 12 Super League matches.


But they are back and aiming for better this time around.


They kick off their campaign with an enticing encounter against newcomers Futsal Escocia on Sunday.

What they said


TJ Slovak Lads' Jozef Petrik said: “We knew it would be really hard for us to get through last season but we did.


“Now we have added new players to the squad so, hopefully, this season will be much better.


“We have numbers and we’ve brought in some quality players so we’re looking to be much better than last year.”


He added: “Obviously you always want to challenge the top but we need to get to their level.


“We’re looking forward to challenging the top teams.


“Last year we had a good battle with Galacticos. We lost to them at the start but the second game was a really good battle.


“We’d like to beat them this season!”
